That is plenty for printing: 4,096 px covers an 11×14 canvas at 300 DPI, or a 16×20 canvas at 200 DPI, which is the range grid-drawing references actually print at.
▸What is the transparent overlay useful for?
It’s a PNG of just the grid lines on a transparent background. Drop it as the top layer in Procreate, Photoshop or Canva, set the opacity where you want it, and draw on the layer below.
