How to use these worksheets

  1. Print the PDF at 100% scale (“Actual size”, not “Fit to page”).
  2. Classic mode: students copy the shaded squares from the reference grid onto the matching labeled square on the blank grid (A1 to A1, B2 to B2…).
  3. Mystery mode: hand out the shuffled version — students don't know the animal until the drawing comes together. Great as a bell-ringer or sub-plan activity.
  4. Finished early? Have students add shading, patterns or a background to their animal.
